About TPUM 

The Trans Pacific Union Mission (TPUM) of Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church exists to provide support to the SDA country offices within its territory. These include the nations of Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Fiji, Tonga, Samoa, American Samoa, Kiribati, Tuvalu, Niue and Nauru. The focus of the SDA Church is the spreading of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the spiritual nurture of its constituents and the professional management of the church, its organisation and facilities. 

About the Role 
TPUM is looking for a suitable candidate to serve as Atoifi Hospital Chief Executive Officer in the Solomons Islands.

The role of the Chief Executive Officer is to be responsible for the overall operation and effective running of the hospital program. He/She is accountable to the board of management as well as the TPUM Executive Committee.  

Selection Criteria: 

  1. Must have an appropriate tertiary qualification. (Health and medical background with administration and management qualifications would be an advantage to the position). 

  2. Must be a practising baptized member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church with a strong commitment to its mission and lifestyle. This would incorporate an active relationship with Jesus Christ characterized by a deep desire for worship and service to God. 

  3. A sound knowledge of the church and its management. 

  4. Should at least have 5 or more years of working experience with proven management skills. 

  5. Have excellent people management skills with the capacity to empower staff to fulfil the mission of the hospital.

The Role of the Church Pastor in Niue is to oversee the work of the Church in Niue, provide spiritual leadership and ensure the effective management of church ministries. Direct and care for the needs of the lay men and women and liaise with the Trans Pacific Union Administration:

Selection Criteria: 

  1. Practicing Baptised SDA Member: Must be a baptized member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, with a deep commitment to its mission, and an active relationship with Jesus Christ, characterized by a desire for worship and service. 

  2. Ordained Minister: Must be an ordained SDA Church minister holding current ministerial credentials. 

  3. Administrative Skills: Aptitude for church administration, including team-building and organizational leadership. 

  4. Church Management Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of the Seventh-day Adventist church's operational and management processes. 

  5. Cross-Cultural Ministry Aptitude: Interest in and ability
