300 impacted at the Heart of Mele Village - Vanuatu

The sun had barely risen over Efate when Mele Village began to stir with unusual energy. By 6:00AM on Friday, February 21, 2025, the usually quiet morning was alive with the footsteps of families making their way to the heart of the village. Word had spread quickly: free health checks were being offered right at their doorstep.

The initiative was led by 10,000 Toes Ambassadors from Hitraty Seventh-day Adventist Church, joined by Adventist doctors and nurses who travelled in from Port Vila. With Mele being the largest village in Vanuatu, the team knew they would need to be strategic. They divided into three stations, working swiftly yet warmly to ensure no one was missed.

By the time the morning drew to a close, more than 300 people had been screened. The presence of Area Administrator Mrs. Annmarie was a steady encouragement, as she not only welcomed the team but actively supported the effort to bring vital health services closer to her people.

For many residents, it was more than just a health check—it was a reminder that their well-being matters, that care can come to them, and that change is possible. And for the ambassadors, it was another step in their journey of bringing hope and health to every community they serve.
