Marovo 10,000 Toes Health Tour Achieves Milestone Success

The Marovo 10,000 Toes Health Risks Assessment Training Promotion and Recruitment Health Tour, held from February 19th to 24th, 2025, was a tremendous success in raising awareness about non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and equipping communities with vital health assessment skills. The initiative, led by Franklyn Julius, engaged Adventist and non-Adventist villages, promoting the 10,000 Toes Campaign and recruiting new ambassadors. The tour covered multiple villages, conducting health screenings, building partnerships with church leaders and chiefs, and emphasizing disease prevention. A highlight was the overwhelming interest from non-Adventist villages, with many requesting extended health evangelism programs and some even offering to fund future training. Franklyn says "Despite challenges such as limited manpower, the tour was a resounding success.

The enthusiastic reception from communities highlights the campaign’s effectiveness in promoting health and wellness while opening avenues for spiritual outreach. Plans are underway to expand efforts in the region, in partnership with the Western Sub-Region Health Department.” The Western Sub-Region is encouraged to support further health outreach initiatives, ensuring sustained health promotion and disease prevention in the Marovo region. The team’s dedication and community enthusiasm mark this as a significant step toward a healthier and more informed population.
