Honoring Hilda Kanapala Rore: A Life of Service and Inspiration
Hilda Kanapala’s story is a beautiful testament to love, faith, and dedication. Born in a time when the world was different, Hilda found her life's purpose early on and has continued to serve her family, church, and community with unwavering devotion.
It all began on January 23, 1968, when Hilda married Pr. Titus Rore after meeting him in Kambubu, Papua New Guinea. Their union was more than just a marriage—it sparked a powerful ministry that would grow and flourish in the years to come. Side by side, Hilda and Titus dedicated their lives to serving the Lord, and together, they left an indelible mark on everyone they encountered.
As a teacher, Madam Hilda’s work was truly impactful. She taught both primary and high school students at Aore and Burnscreek, focusing on subjects like Home Economics, Bible, and Social Science. Her passion for education went beyond textbooks. She nurtured her students not only academically but also spiritually, guiding them to grow in their faith and character.
Now at 78 years old, Hilda looks back on her journey with gratitude. She fondly remembers her time serving in the Dorcas Society, a role she cherished. Her love for singing, which has been a constant source of joy throughout her life, continues to inspire her church family. Her voice, filled with the warmth of years spent praising God, lifts the spirits of those around her and encourages others to sing with joy and devotion.
Hilda’s family is the cornerstone of her life. With four sons, grandchildren, and even two great-grandchildren, she is surrounded by love and legacy. She cherishes every moment spent with them and praises God for the blessings He has bestowed upon her family.
Her advice to women is simple yet profound: "Support your husbands and keep your faith in God." Despite the challenges that come with age, Hilda believes that God’s goodness prevails, and she encourages women to trust in His plan, no matter what obstacles they face.
Hilda Kanapala’s life is a shining example of how love, faith, and service can inspire and uplift others. Her journey, filled with grace and dedication, reminds us that a life lived in service to God and others is a life well lived. In her, we see the true spirit of being like Jesus—a heart full of love and a life devoted to service.
