MDLite App Launched for Ministers in the Fiji Mission

In an exciting development, Pr Nasoni Lutunaliwa, Pr Linray Tutuo, and Pr Tiko Kabu announced the launch of the MDLite app for ministers in the Fiji Mission. This innovative app is a world-first for the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The launch, which took place on the 17th of May, 2023 marks a milestone in the church's embrace of technology to advance the mission.

The MDLite app was designed by Pr Russ Willcocks and his team at Adventist Technology, from South Pacific Division headquarters in Australia. The application provides ministers with a streamlined, user-friendly platform for ministry development and reporting.

A highlight feature of the MDLite app is the Auxano library. This feature provides ministers with access to a wide array of articles, videos, and audio podcasts, all readily available on their mobile devices. This wealth of information at their fingertips will undoubtedly aid in the continued growth and development of the ministers and their ministry.

Another significant feature of the MDLite app is its functionality in offline mode, which makes it ideal for regions where data access is sporadic or unavailable. This careful design consideration allows for the app's use in low-data environments, thereby overcoming one of the significant barriers to technological adoption in remote areas.

The MDLite app is expected to streamline several administrative processes within the church, including supervision and internship management. This step will invariably simplify operations, allowing ministers and administrators to focus on what truly matters: moving the Mission forward.

The launch of the MDLite app was accompanied by a fellowship gathering of the Central Eastern ministers and their spouses. The event was marked by a shared lunch and the symbolic cutting of the MDLite cake.

In the coming days, Pr Tiko and his wife Julia, along with Pr Russ, will travel to Labasa and Lautoka. Their goal is to meet with the Northern and Western Region respectively, to provide training on the app's usage and interact with the pastors' spouses.

Pr Tiko mentioned, β€œThe introduction of the MDLite app is a significant advancement for the Seventh-day Adventist church in Fiji, and a testament to the growing importance of technology and its use in ministry.”
