Church Clerks from Across Vanualevu Attend Training on Roles and Responsibilities
Over 41 church clerks and 9 ministers recently attended the final Local Church Clerk Training at the Labasa SDA Church in Namara, Fiji. The event was a success, with church clerks coming from far and wide, including Rabi, Taveuni, Wainunu, Savusavu, and surrounding areas.
During the training, the attendees were reminded of their importance, roles, and responsibilities within their churches. They were also educated on the importance of accountability, report collation, and processes involved in maintaining church records, minutes, and nurturing church members.
The organizers expressed their gratitude to the church clerks in Vanualevu for their faithfulness in their roles and emphasized the importance of their ‘on-time’ submission of reports and upkeep of church records. They believe that the training will be instrumental in improving the quality of church management in the region.
"The church clerks play a vital role in the smooth functioning of our churches," said Ms Linda Brook, Fiji Mission Admin Secretary, who was also one of the facilitators. "Their commitment and dedication are commendable, and we hope that this training will further equip them to carry out their responsibilities effectively."
The training also provided an opportunity for networking and sharing experiences among the church clerks and ministers, fostering unity and collaboration among the various churches in the region.
Fiji Mission Secretary, Pr Epeli Saukuru who initiated the training, believes that this Local Church Clerk Training was a resounding success and that they look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on the churches in Vanualevu.
