Digital Discipleship and Leadership Training in Tuvalu

The Funafuti Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church recently hosted a Media Leadership and Digital Discipleship training from April 21-23, 2024. Sponsored by ADRA Austria, this event saw the participation of 25 church members.

The training was conducted by Mr. Maika Tuima, Hope Channel Creative Media Producer, and Mr. John Tausere, Coordinator of Communications, Digital Media & Graphic Design, both from the Trans-Pacific Union Mission (TPUM). The goal was to equip attendees with skills to use digital tools for spreading the gospel.

Day 1: Introduction to Digital Discipleship

The first day focused on the benefits of using technology for evangelism. Participants were shown how digital platforms can be used to spread the gospel effectively. The day ended with a lunch for the participants.

Day 2: Teamwork in Media Leadership

The second day emphasized the importance of teamwork in digital evangelism. Participants learned collaborative strategies for spreading the gospel through technology.

Day 3: Fulfilling the Biblical Mandate

The final day challenged participants to fulfill the Biblical mandate of Matthew 28:19-20 and Revelation 14:6-12. They were encouraged to work as a team to achieve effective digital discipleship.

"Finally, the Media Leadership and Discipleship training has come to an end with a great challenge to fulfill the Biblical mandate of Matthew 28:19-20 & Revelation 14:6-12. Participants were encouraged to work as a team in order to bear much fruit through the power of the Holy Spirit."

Conclusion
