Fiji for Christ Launched Nationwide: A Call to Lift Up Jesus
May 31, 2025 marked a significant milestone for the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Fiji with the official nationwide launch of the Fiji for Christ evangelistic campaign. This historic initiative was inaugurated simultaneously at key locations across the country, uniting church leaders, departmental directors, and members in one purpose—to lift up Jesus and prepare for a nationwide wave of evangelism.
Launch Venues Included:
Cakau Wellness Centre (Central Eastern Regions 1 & 2)
Lautoka SDA Primary School, Waiyavi
Yaroi Primary School, Savusavu
Labasa SDA Church
Tavua
Each venue experienced an overwhelming turnout, with many sites filled beyond capacity. The strong attendance reflected the enthusiasm and commitment of the church community in Fiji to share Christ with others.
Trans Pacific Union Mission (TPUM) President and the various local Missions presidents were in Fiji, actively involved in the launch. They travelled to the different locations on that Sabbath to support and inspire the gatherings. Their presence brought a strong sense of unity, encouragement, and spiritual leadership, underscoring the regional significance of this Christ-centered initiative.
In his keynote message, Pastor Nasoni Lutunaliwa, President of the Fiji Mission, called the church to stay focused on Christ as the centre of all outreach efforts.
“When we lift Jesus, people will be drawn towards Him,” he said.
Pastor Maveni Kaufononga, TPUM President, also delivered a stirring challenge to all believers:
“The harvest is ready, but the labourers are few.”
He encouraged every church member to take an active role in evangelism and mission.
The launch of Fiji for Christ marks the beginning of a united and Spirit-filled movement focused on Christ-centred evangelism, community impact, and total member involvement. The passion, unity, and dedication shown at the launch events are a powerful sign of what God is preparing to do across Fiji in the months ahead.
As the campaign unfolds, we continue to pray that every effort will draw more hearts to Jesus and that this movement will bring transformation and hope to families, villages, and communities throughout the nation.
