Health Expo - Extending Wellness Outreach to Neighbours

This year, a key strategy for Solomon Island’s Mission is promoting wellness among neighbouring communities through Health Expos, particularly in previously uncharted areas. In the month of May, two successful health expos were conducted.

The first expo, organized by the SIM team, took place in the western region of Malaita, an area previously without an Adventist presence. This health expo concluded with an Evangelistic campaign spearheaded by Pastor Mauta Kemuel and Dr George Manimu. The campaign witnessed a positive outcome, with 14 attendees dedicating their lives to the Lord through baptism. This is seen as evidence of the transformative work of the Holy Spirit.

The second Health Expo was carried out by the churches of the Central Honiara District in one of the suburbs of Central Honiara. The program featured nightly health discussions and daily health assessments, resulting in a significant positive impact on the lives of many participants.

Groundwork is underway for an upcoming evangelistic meeting in that specific location. The aim is to disseminate truth to an evidently receptive community. These efforts represent exciting opportunities to champion health and spirituality in these regions.
