Successful Health Program in Southern Kiribati

Kiribati Mission Health Director, Mrs Tera Tarataake conducted a week-long health program from April 16 to April 22 in Tabiteuea North, the southern part of Kiribati. The program was hosted by the Seventh-day Adventist Tabiteuea North and organized by church minister Bakarereua Tomoniko. The health program offered free medical check-ups to staff members of the Tabiteuea North council, the Kieia Ataei Southern national hospital, and police officers. The program also included a health public awareness campaign led by the health director to educate the local community on health-related issues and how to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

According to Mission President Pr Taabua, the program was a great success as many individuals took advantage of the free medical check-ups and learned valuable health information during the public awareness campaign. Many people were grateful for the opportunity to receive medical attention and advice from a trained professional.

Minister Tomoniko expressed his gratitude to the Kiribati Mission Health Director for conducting the program and providing much-needed medical attention to the community. He also thanked the health director for the health awareness campaign, which he believes will have a positive impact on the community's health and wellbeing.

Overall, the health program was a significant step forward in improving the health and wellbeing of the community in Tabiteuea North. It demonstrated the importance of community-driven initiatives to promote health and wellness and highlighted the critical role that health professionals play in achieving this goal.
