TPUM Presidential Address
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
With deep humility and gratitude to God, I accept the call to serve as the new President of the Trans Pacific Union Mission for the next five years. This is not just my responsibility, it is a shared mission we all carry together as God’s people in the Pacific. We are called to move forward in unity, trusting that God will guide and strengthen us as we continue to make disciples and prepare our region for Christ’s soon return.
I thank God for the faithful leadership of Pastor Maveni Kaufononga, who has served TPUM with dedication for 17 years. His tireless commitment, wise leadership, and heart for mission have left a lasting impact on our church family. His legacy will continue to inspire us as he now serves as Vice President of the South Pacific Division. We are grateful for his service and pray that God will continue to bless him in this new chapter of leadership.
I also look forward to serving alongside Pastor Clive Tefaatau (General Secretary), Mr. Fraser Alekevu (Chief Financial Officer), and our other leaders as we unite to advance God’s mission.
Our mission is clear: to make disciples of Jesus Christ who live as His witnesses and share the everlasting gospel of the Three Angels’ Messages in preparation for His soon return. This calling remains at the heart of everything we do. Together, we press forward with faith, knowing that God Himself goes before us. May His Spirit empower us to serve faithfully until the work is finished.
As we look ahead, I pledge to:
Encourage unity and collaboration among our Missions, churches, and institutions.
Support and empower our leaders and members.
Strengthen ministries that care for the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of our people.
Promote faithful stewardship of the resources God has entrusted to us.
Always seek God’s wisdom and leading in every decision.
I invite every administrator, pastor, teacher, health worker, volunteer, and lay member to join hands in this sacred work. Let us move forward in faith, trusting that the Lord who began His work in us will surely bring it to completion.
May the 6th TPUM Session mark a new chapter of faith, unity, and mission as together we prepare for the soon return of our Lord Jesus Christ.
In His service,
Pr. Charlie Jimmy
President, Trans Pacific Union Mission
