A New Beginning in Toamua Uta, Samoa

We are excited to share the wonderful news about the opening of a new Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) church plant in Toamua, Samoa. This marks a new chapter for the community, filled with faith, generosity, and hope.

The journey began with a beautiful and culturally significant welcoming ceremony hosted by the Toamua Village Council, Elders, and Chiefs. They extended a heartfelt welcome to the new Adventist church plant, officially accepting it into their community. This traditional Ava ceremony was a meaningful way to honor the church's arrival and the spiritual work that lies ahead.

Following the ceremony, the celebration moved to the home and land of Luafulu Faete Simaika, a dedicated church member, who generously offered her property to serve as the site for the new church. While the search continues for a more secure and permanent location to establish the Toamua church plant, this land is an important first step in the community's journey toward spiritual growth and renewal.

It’s important to note that Toamua is conveniently located just a 15-minute drive from Apia to Faleolo Airport, heading west, making this church plant accessible to many in the region.

The transformation of land that was once associated with illegal activities into a space of worship is a powerful symbol of redemption. This new church represents a fresh start, not only for spiritual growth but also for healing and positive change in the community. With at least 30 members attending the opening service, the church is already off to a strong start.

We are excited to see how this church will continue to grow, offering a place for people to come together in worship, peace, and community. We look forward to watching the positive impact it will have on the surrounding area and the lives it will touch in the future.
