PNGUM Gifts 1 Million Kina to TPUM for “TPUM for Christ”

The Papua New Guinea Union Mission (PNGUM) has presented a gift of One Million Kina (K1,000,000) to the Trans Pacific Union Mission (TPUM) in support of the TPUM for Christ mission.

Representing the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Papua New Guinea, PNGUM President Pr. Danny Philip shared that this gift is given in response to the same command Jesus gave His disciples in Matthew 28:19 — “Go and make disciples.”

In his speech, Pr. Philip reminded us that when Jesus gave the Great Commission, the known world stretched from Jerusalem across Africa and Asia, into Europe and the Americas.

“But the ends of the earth are the Pacific region.”

Our islands may be isolated and scattered across the vast Pacific, but we are not forgotten in the Great Commission.

“We are the ends of the earth,” Pr. Philip said.

Through this generous gift, the PNGUM is standing one with TPUM in the mission to reach communities across the Pacific — to take the gospel to places that are isolated, scattered and often difficult to reach.

One million kina. One mission. One command. One purpose — to reach the unreachable and make disciples for Christ.
