Mid-Year Executive Committee Meeting Highlights Trans Pacific Union Mission
The Trans Pacific Union Mission Executive Committee met on 1 June at the Fiji Mission Conference Centre with hearts united under the theme “I Will Go to the Ends of the World.” Leaders from across the Pacific came together to reflect, plan, and pray for the mission ahead.
TPUM for Christ 2026 – A Call to the Nations
One of the key moments was planning for the TPUM for Christ 2026 evangelistic campaign. The dates and locations are confirmed, and everyone is encouraged to get involved. Visit www.tpum.org/tpumevents to register and find more information.
Evangelistic dates and locations:
5–18 July: Solomon Islands and Tuvalu
12–26 July: Tonga
12–24 July: American Samoa
9–22 August: Vanuatu
16–29 August: Kiribati and Fiji
16–30 August: Samoa and Tokelau
This is just the beginning of a five-year mission journey:
2026 – Our Country for Christ
2027 – Our Church for Christ
2028 – Our School for Christ
2029 – Our Community for Christ
2030 – Our World for Christ
Through this movement, we are uniting churches, schools, and communities to share Jesus across the Pacific.
Growing Stronger in Mission and Leadership
The committee also launched several important initiatives:
The Pacific Adventist Identity Records (PAIR) project will preserve the stories of our people and institutions, beginning with training at Fulton Adventist University College in July 2025.
TPUM adopted its first Safeguarding Policy, rooted in the words of Jesus, “Whatever you did for one of the least of these... you did for me” (Matthew 25:40).
A new Human Resources Strategic Plan offers guidance for nurturing a spiritually strong and professional workforce, including care for those transitioning into retirement.
Fulton Adventist University College introduced a new model for academic titles to align with national standards.
Staying Focused on the Mission
Each Mission and institution shared their local plans to align with the TPUM for Christ vision. Leaders spoke honestly about challenges and needs, and how they are responding with faith, creativity, and a commitment to share Jesus in every corner of their territory.
Growing Membership and Faithful Giving
The Pacific is responding to the Gospel. TPUM now has over 143,000 members across 11 nations—about 1 Adventist for every 17 people. Tithe giving is also growing, showing a deepened commitment to God’s mission. Many Missions reported increases beyond inflation, inspired by revival, stewardship, and active lay involvement.
Looking Ahead with Faith
God is moving across the Pacific. As we walk forward in unity and purpose, the Trans Pacific Union Mission remains committed to making disciples, building strong leadership, and preparing people for Jesus’ return.
Let us go forward together, our country, our church, our school, our community, and our world for Christ.
