A Day of Rejoicing: 50 Betikama Adventist College Students Baptized

Saturday, November 2nd, was a day filled with joy and commitment at Betikama Adventist College as 50 students publicly declared their love for Jesus through baptism. These students, from Form 1 to Form 7, represent the ongoing fruits of a well-planned spiritual strategy led by Betikama Adventist College Church. Through the dedicated efforts of the Personal Ministry, Chaplain Department, and Solomon Islands Mission Initiatives such as the July Harvest, the students' interest in knowing Jesus deepened, resulting in new Bible study groups facilitated by College Chaplain, Minister Bryan Solomon.

Minister Solomon expressed heartfelt gratitude for the School Administration's support of the students' spiritual journeys, which culminated in this impactful baptism. The event marked the end of a week of Spiritual Emphasis, led by retired Pastor and former Solomon Islands Mission President, Pr. George Fafale, who shared his own story of being baptized at Betikama as a student—a special connection that inspired many.

The baptism ceremony was officiated by Pr. Gravis Pitu, Pr. Adrian Pitakaka, Pr. Gary Manele, and Pr. Eddie Richardson, who together provided a meaningful and memorable experience for the new believers. Mr. Bevan Tutuo, Principal of Betikama Adventist College, underscored the importance of mission institutions like Betikama, where students can make decisions for Christ through various school programs and activities.

With this baptism, the total number of students baptized at Betikama Adventist College in 2024 has reached 90, a testament to the vibrant faith community within the school. The impact of these students’ commitments is sure to resonate for years to come, inspiring others on their journeys of faith.
