Fiji Mission commissions missionaries to Indonesia

Today marks a historic and Spirit-filled milestone as some of the first missionaries from Fiji Mission for 2025 were officially commissioned to serve in Indonesia and Timor Leste. This groundbreaking mission initiative stems from the General Conference’s effort to foster partnerships between Divisions to support the I Will Go strategy (Trans Pacific Union Mission). In response, the South Pacific Division, working closely with the Southern Asia-Pacific Division, has welcomed a strong commitment from the Trans Pacific Union Mission (TPUM) of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Over 40 missionaries have answered the call, leaving their homes to serve in remote areas and proclaim the everlasting Gospel.

During the commissioning service, President of the Fiji Mission, Pastor Nasoni Lutunaliwa,  reminded the missionaries of their divine calling, to serve the Lord faithfully through the mission work He has entrusted to them.

TPUM General Secretary, Mrs. Jane Opetaia, also encouraged the missionaries with words of assurance, affirming that God is always with them. She expressed how they have inspired many a with their courage and dedication.

These missionaries will be joined by others from across the Union, forming a united front for the Gospel. The journey for some will commence 16 April 2025 and serve for a year as volunteers.

Let us continue to uplift them in prayer as they carry the light of Christ into the nations.
