FIJI MISSION LAUNCHES “TPUM & FIJI FOR CHRIST 2026 (AND BEYOND)” INITIATIVE
Suva, Fiji – April 7, 2025
Today marked a significant milestone in the journey of mission for the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Fiji, as Fiji Mission President Pastor Nasoni Lutunaliwa officially launched the “TPUM & Fiji for Christ 2026 (and beyond)” initiative. The soft launch was held at the Fiji Mission Conference Centre in Suvavou and was attended by Mission staff, Central Region ministers, elders from the Suva districts, and personal ministries leaders.
In his address, Pastor Nasoni reflected on the commitment and sacrifices of the early missionaries who brought the Adventist message to Fiji. He challenged the church today to mirror that same level of dedication and faith as they look ahead to the mission goals of 2026 and beyond.
Pastor Aisake Tiko Kabu, Fiji Mission Ministerial Secretary, highlighted that the initiative aims to revive and strengthen small group ministries, promote farming cycle initiatives, reignite Total Member Involvement (TMI), empower Sabbath School action units, and most importantly, unite members in fully using their spiritual gifts for mission.
Mission Secretary Pastor Epeli Saukuru shared that a larger, more comprehensive launch involving all regions across Fiji will take place in May 2025, with the full support and inclusion of the Trans Pacific Union Mission (TPUM).
Fiji Mission emphasizes that this is not just a 2026 program, but a renewed way forward for every local church a missional lifestyle that will continue until Jesus returns.
