VANUATU MISSION WALK4LIFE FITNESS CHALLENGE
Port Vila, Vanuatu – May 7, 2025
The Vanuatu Mission Fitness Challenge kicked off with great success today, drawing enthusiastic participation from church workers committed to staying fit and healthy. The event, held as part of the mission's ongoing wellness initiative, was personally witnessed and reported by Trans Pacific Union Mission (TPUM) President, Pastor Maveni Kaufononga.
"It’s great to see our workers trying their best to stay fit and healthy," Pastor Maveni shared. "A healthy worker will lead a healthy church and that’s exactly what we need across the Pacific."
From group warm-ups to fun exercise activities, the day was filled with positive energy, encouragement, and a shared commitment to health. The initiative highlights the Vanuatu Mission’s dedication to holistic ministry, recognizing that physical wellbeing is a vital part of effective service.
The Fitness Challenge reflects a wider movement within the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the Pacific to combat non-communicable diseases and promote healthy living, not only through words but through action and example.
With the success of today's event, Vanuatu Mission is setting a powerful example for the rest of the Pacific. As Pastor Maveni emphasized, “When our workers are healthy, our churches thrive.”
