Youth and Media Leadership Training Empowers Nauru Church Members
Nauru church members recently experienced a spirit-filled two weeks of leadership and media training designed to strengthen their mission and prepare them for greater outreach.
Pr. Uili Tino, Trans Pacific Union Mission (TPUM) Youth Director, led the training on youth leadership and officially launched new Pathfinder Manuals and the World Changers Bible. These resources were identified as a vital need in Nauru, equipping leaders and young people alike to move the work forward with stronger foundations in discipleship and service.
Alongside youth leadership training, Maika Tuima, TPUM’s Creative Media Producer, conducted workshops on digital media. Church members were empowered with practical skills on how to utilize the digital space to share the gospel in creative and impactful ways. “Every member can be a digital missionary,” Tuima emphasized, encouraging participants to see media as a vital tool for evangelism and community building.
A new prayer initiative, “Let’s Pray Nauru,” was also launched during the program. This platform aims to unite church members and the community in prayer, seeking God’s guidance and power as they prepare for the upcoming Nauru for Christ evangelistic series next year.
Participants expressed heartfelt gratitude for the timely training, highlighting both the spiritual encouragement and social fellowship they experienced. The programs have ignited a renewed sense of mission, vision, and readiness to serve God faithfully “until Jesus comes.”
The church in Nauru continues to call for the support of prayers across the Pacific as they step forward with these new initiatives, trusting in God’s leading for the future.
