In an effort to refocus and revitalise their mission, twenty-five administrators from the Trans Pacific Union joined other South Pacific Division leaders at the SPD Administrator's Council 2023 in Queensland, Australia. On June 25, 2023, the Tamavua English SDA Church opened a beacon of hope and health in their community - the Wellness Hub. Beyond being a place of worship, the church now aims to promote healthy living, thanks to the refurbished Kitchen sponsored by the 10,000 Toes Campaign. The Wellness Hub seeks to provide lifestyle education programs and healthy living initiatives like cooking classes, aimed at helping community members make healthier choices and combat non-communicable diseases prevalent in Fiji. With enthusiastic support from its members and the broader community, the Hub represents a major milestone in the church's mission to extend the healing ministry of Jesus.

Celebrating Faith Through Music: The Adventist Music Festival, Sounds of Hope
The Adventist Music Festival, titled "Sounds of Hope," provided a five-day spiritual journey from the 8th to the 12th of June, 2023. Taking place at the SDA Multi-Purpose Hall in Vanuatu, the festival brought together over 300 participants from different churches across the region. Through original compositions by local talents and stirring messages from distinguished figures, "Sounds of Hope" offered more than just music. It was a celebration of the Seventh-day Adventist Church's rich history and a testament to its enduring growth. As Pastor David George stated in his closing remarks, "Each of us, church members, we are on a journey towards heaven…we praise God for His blessings on His church, His people.”

Health Expo - Extending Wellness Outreach to Neighbours
This year's key strategy is hosting Health Expos in unexplored regions, aiming to promote wellness among neighboring communities. Two successful expos were held in May. The first, in Malaita's western region, resulted in 14 baptisms. The second, in a Central Honiara suburb, featured health discussions and assessments, significantly impacting attendees. Preparations are now underway for an upcoming evangelistic meeting in the same location.

New Education Director for the Trans Pacific Union
The Trans Pacific Union Mission (TPUM) is delighted to welcome Mr. Taloga Pita as the new Education Director. With a commendable career spanning over three decades in educational leadership across the Pacific, Mr. Pita steps into the shoes of outgoing Director Mrs. Mere Vaihola. "My family and I are really looking forward to accepting this calling," says Pita, who has served throughout Fiji and the Pacific for many years. He believes his new calling offers an opportunity to come home and continue serving God through the Pacific Adventist Schools.

In remembrance of our little angel, Viniyanna, her brief life displayed acts of kindness and faith in God that touched the lives of everyone around her. Despite the heartbreak of her sudden departure, we're establishing the "Viniyanna Seth Memorial Lamb Shelter" to continue her legacy of compassion and care, carrying forward her light in teaching and preparing other children for a life filled with love and faith.
