
10K Toes Promotes Health and Wellness in Navosa Province
The 10K Toes ambassadors and lead ambassadors held a screening event in the province of Navosa, Fiji, on March 30, 2023. The event aimed to raise awareness of the dangers of a high-fat diet, processed food, dairy products, and a lack of physical activity. The event was attended by representatives from seven villages, and 110 people were screened, with five people identified as "high-risk" and referred to Vatumali hospital for further treatment.

Hazel Ipuniuesea Leo, a sophomore at Iakina Adventist Academy, swept the competition and will be representing American Samoa at the National Poetry Out Loud Competition in May.

Kiribati SDA Youth Take Action for a Cleaner Environment
The Tarawa Adventist Youth from the SDA Church on South Tarawa and Betio demonstrated their love and commitment to the environment by conducting a successful clean-up at the Ananau Causeway. Around 50+ youths participated in the event, collecting 120 green bags of waste and debris. The initiative was supported by MELAD-ECD and received participation from the SDA Kiribati Mission President, pastors, laymen, and youth advisors. Keep up the great work, SDA youth!

Hope Channel to broadcast 24/7, free-to-air in Kiribati
Kiri-One TV and Hope Media Ministry (HMM) of Kiribati SDA Mission have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to launch a new television service for Kiribati SDA Mission, "Kiribati Hope Channel." The new 24-hour channel will feature international content from Hope Channel International, as well as local programs produced by Hope Media, Kiribati. This new partnership represents a major milestone in the history of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Kiribati, as it seeks to leverage modern technology to spread its message of hope to a wider audience. ‘Journey to Wholeness’ for Pacific Health Leaders
Health leaders from around the Pacific gathered at Coral Coast Christian Camp in Deuba, Fiji for the 'Journey to Wholeness' health workshop initiated by the Trans Pacific Union Mission (TPUM) and South Pacific Division (SPD) through the 10,000 Toes campaign. The program featured two training courses: the Addiction Recovery Program and Lifestyle Coaching Skills. Facilitated by guest speaker Dr Katia Reinert, who is the Associate Director, General Conference Health Ministries and Adventist Recovery. Participants gained valuable insights into holistic wellness and how to promote positive change in their communities.

Nine precious souls were baptised on Vaitupu Island, Tuvalu, on March 18th, after months of Bible studies and personal visitation by Church planter and Minister, Waisele Dokonivalu.

TPUM Office Visits, Gifts and Prays with Teachers on Global Youth Day
Global Youth Day, 2023 the Trans Pacific Union Mission Office visited the Suva Adventist College and Suva Adventist Primary School to show gratitude and appreciation towards the teachers. The staff prepared gift packs containing stationery, books, and magazines for each of the teachers. The event aimed to spread love and kindness, reminding everyone that small acts can make a big difference in someone's life.

Disciple Ministry Team leaders get Innovative
The Trans Pacific Union recently hosted an innovative two-day training event aimed at equipping its Disciple Ministry Team leaders with the tools and skills needed for innovative thinking. The training, which featured guest facilitators from the South Pacific Division, provided participants with the process of innovative thinking and how to apply it to their various ministries. Attendees described the workshop as "so inspiring" and noted that it will be of great help in planning for future projects and events. Church Clerks from Across Vanualevu Attend Training on Roles and Responsibilities
Over 41 church clerks and 9 ministers recently attended the final Local Church Clerk Training at the Labasa SDA Church in Namara, Fiji. The event was a success, with church clerks coming from far and wide, including Rabi, Taveuni, Wainunu, Savusavu, and surrounding areas.

School Improvement Project Opens at Mizpah Adventist High School
Mizpah Adventist High School in Vava’u celebrated the opening of a school improvement project valued at TOP$300,000, consisting of several teaching and learning development initiatives, on Thursday, 2 March 2023. Honorable Hu’akavameiliku, the Prime Minister of Tonga, inaugurated the event. The project is a significant milestone for the school towards promoting quality Adventist education in Tonga, which is aligned with national educational goals and promotes learning that is distinctively Adventist.

Over 150 Samoans Join 10,000 Toes Health Project to Combat Non-Communicable Diseases
On the 21st of February, the Samoa & Tokelau Mission (STM) launched the 10,000 Toes Health Project, an initiative aimed at combating the prevalence of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in the region. Over 100 participants from 48 churches across the STM Upolu Region attended the training held at the Lalovaea Youth Hall of the SDA Headquarters.
