Mr. Talonga Pita, the Education Director for the Trans-Pacific Union Mission (TPUM), recently shared insights from his visit to the Solomon Islands, where he and a delegation attended the TPUM Education Board meeting from July 21 to August 1, 2024.

From June 24 to 27, 2024, the Kingdom of Tonga hosted an intensive four-day training program in Digital Discipleship and Media Leadership. This event saw 30 dedicated participants complete the training and receive certificates, marking a significant milestone in their journey toward becoming impactful digital disciples.

The Vanuatu Mission marked a historic milestone in human resource professional development as it witnessed the first cohort of students graduate with a Certificate IV in Theology from Fulton Adventist University College (FAUC).

Since its February 2024 launch, Hope VA TPUM has made significant progress in engaging communities across the Trans Pacific Union Mission (TPUM). As of July 25, 2024, Hope VA has enrolled 365 students.

The “Walk4Life Ultimate Fitness Challenge” is an innovative health and wellness event designed to engage communities in physical fitness activities while raising awareness about non-communicable diseases like diabetes. Participants take part in various exercises and challenges that promote overall well-being, fostering a spirit of camaraderie and support. This event is part of the broader Walk4Life initiative, which aims to inspire and support individuals in their health and fitness journeys across the Pacific region.

On May 17, 2024, the 10,000 Toes Campaign in Fiji organized a march in Lautoka, coinciding with the visit of the World President of the SDA Church, Elder Ted Wilson, and his wife Nancy Wilson. The event drew a significant crowd, beginning at Shirley Park, proceeding through the main town streets, and returning to Shirley Park. The purpose of the march was to raise awareness about the 10,000 Toes Campaign, which aims to prevent, control, arrest, and reverse diabetes through lifestyle interventions and early health screenings.

The "Tonga for Christ" evangelistic campaign concluded with a significant baptismal service at Beulah Adventist College, where 122 people were baptized, marking the largest baptism ever recorded in Tonga.

From May 13 to May 18, 2024, the Trans Pacific Union Mission (TPUM) region in the South Pacific was honored to host the esteemed General Conference President of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Pastor Ted Wilson, and his wife, Nancy. They visited the nations of Tonga and Fiji, opening of the new Tonga Mission office building and officiating the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Church building at Fulton Adventist University College.

The Funafuti Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church recently hosted a Media Leadership and Digital Discipleship training from April 21-23, 2024. Sponsored by ADRA Austria, this event saw the participation of 25 church members.

TPUM Education department Launched the ABIDE BIBLE Project today in partnership through the AUC education department with guest speaker Jacques Calais who is the associate education director for Adventist schools in Australia. The ABIDE Bibles will be used by teachers throughout the TPUM Adventist Schools.

On February 18, the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Narewa, Fiji, proudly inaugurated its new 10,000 Toes Wellness Hub. This new facility is dedicated to improving the health of the local communities of Narewa, Sikituru, and Yavusania.

March 11, marked a significant milestone for Mizpah Adventist High School in Vava’u, Tonga, with the inauguration of its latest educational facility. This new classroom, valued at approximately TOP$150,000, represents a leap forward in the school's commitment to fostering an environment conducive to engaging learning and the development of skills relevant to the 21st century.

Throughout March, the world comes together to honour and acknowledge the remarkable achievements and invaluable contributions of women across different sectors and countries, culminating in the observance of International Women's Day on March 8th.

The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Vanuatu marked a significant milestone with the inauguration of its premier media hub, showcasing Adventist Radio Vanuatu 107.5 and Hope Channel TV on February 25.
